I will probably have to return the Nikon SC29 as all my hand held brackets only have shoe mounts. I really think that this is a very important point to inform the customer. If you want to use it off camera you have to use a tripod or hold it by hand

I checked with Alzo about the use of this on their bracket and they said no problem, it'll fit right in.
Several companies sell the adapter to use. A little 'net research and you'll find out how to make it work.
Some pro photographers insist (if you're using the SB800) that its way better off the camera on a tripod anyway.
