Nice battery

Strengths: Longer run time for my laptop

Weakness: a little heavier than the 6 cell

Nice to have a laptop that runs for more than an hour on battery again. I keep this one fully charged and in my case while I leave the old 6 cell battery in the computer when it's plugged in for everyday use. One review mentioned the number of charge discharge cycles. That is standard for Lithium Ion batteries so keep it fully charged and use it when you don't have AC power and charge it when needed. Keep your old battery to use when the computer will be plugged in for everyday use.

9 cell lithium Ion Primary Battery

Strengths: None

Weakness: Will never work with a brand name computer (ie Dell, HP etc)

Even though they promise it will work, don't bother. You must buy the same brand for your computer. I wasted 70.00 on this battery, can't use it and wasted hour trying to find a way to.

Affordable alternative 9-cell Lithium-Ion to Dell's...

Strengths: It's an affordable alternative to the ~$160 option from Dell.

Weakness: It's made in China. The original is made in Japan - the quality has yet to be seen. It's also slightly off size.

This battery arrived quickly and is exactly as promised. It arrived with a partial charge and worked the first time I used it. I ordered this to replace the OEM battery that died and the quality looks to be nearly the same. I can't speak for the long term quality and it's slightly off size, but it took a charge and fit into the Inspiron 1501 that I have.
