580EXIIStrengths: Great flash! Fast. Long battery lifetime. Exposure control. Weakness: Expensive Big but feels ruggidly built. Great addition to SLR camera. The pictures look totally different with this flash as compared to those with builtin flash. Very powerful with a lot of controls. Highly recommend. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Powerful Flash for Powerful CameraStrengths: Very Bright... Fast charge... Longer battery life... TTL.. Weakness: Hard to bounce high ceiling.. Kind of big... too bright for close shot.. Canon made a great flash that charges very fast... Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Canon 580ex II Review
Strengths: Fast High Power Flash (strobist) PC Port
Weakness: Heavier than 430ex Expensive
This Canon 580ex II is a great flash for wedding photographers, which I am. It has fast cycling times and 4 NiMH batteries last very long with the unit. It has weather sealing and holds the omni diffuser tightly due to the rubberized weather sealing enclosure. Great flash but a little pricey.
