Brother Personal FAX-575 Fax Machine

Strengths: It is great for someone like me who has to fax stuff for work occasionally and doesn't want to drive to the library and pay $2.00 a page.

Weakness: This wouldn't be very cost effective if you are going to receive a lot of faxes or make a lot of copies.

Bought this to have a fax machine at home. It was easy to set up. Doesn't take up much space on the desk and you have a built in phone with caller ID, too. The copy machine part of fax makes nice clean copies, too.

Brother Fax575

Strengths: Great for home office

Weakness: not good for high volume faxing

I give this fax a 2 thumbs up. I use it for my home office. It is perfect for someone who does the occasional faxing here and there. If you need a fax for a busy office or if you fax high volumes at home I would not recommend.

Strengths: This Fax Phone is a compact, stylish, plain-paper fax. It is great for home use, with other great features such as caller id, voice mail, copier.....More, its price is low and works pretty well.

Weakness: The print sometimes may be ambiguous.

This is my first personal fax machine home. Well, it makes me work at home more easier. More, it is easy to use and it has a lower price than most of the home use fax phone.
Actually, it works quite well both as fax machine and home phone!

Strengths: Small footprint. Good price.

Weakness: Flimsy design. Corded phones are becoming obsolete.

For a home office, this is a very nice fax machine. It can print good quality pages with ease but I cannot see it handle a busy fax line especially since the feed tray would not be able to hold more than 100 pages at a time. Its small footprint is also nice at the corner of a desk so you won't have to worry if you already have a crowded workspace. The price for this machine is slightly inflated because there are rebates for this fax machine from just about every office store you can buy it from. Overall, I would recommend it those who are self-employed or those who need a fax machine every now and then and don't want to pay the high fees Kinkos and others charge. I definitely would not recommend it for business workers with high fax volumes.

Cheap Fax Machine for Home Use

Strengths: Inexpensive, works

Weakness: Not a high quality or fast fax machine. Ribbon runs out of ink in almost no time at all (not good for high volumes of fax-receiving).

If you're looking for a cheap fax machine to use in your house for faxes that are few and far between, this is what you want. However, if you have a bigger load of faxing to do (more than a couple times a week), you should spring for a higher quality machine.

Strengths: good for personal use, inexpensive to buy

Weakness: starter cartridge prints 30 pages

I've had this for a month now and it has worked well for me. You problily want to buy a refill cartridge for this unit because it prints 30 page with starter cartridge and will run out quickly. I also noticed there is a 9600bps send rate but I have not notice speed differences with computer at home which claims to have a much faster modem built in. This can be conveniently hooked to an answering machine to replace a phone to receive and send faxes.

I think scanner and printer is better than copier, multifunction is not nessary, phone and fax functions are important.
It works well at home office, a small room is enough since it is compact.

Weakness: can't handle big faxes, print quality not as good as a laser fax

I've been using this fax machine for two months and so far I am very happy. It's very small and does a good job at faxing. However, keep in mind that this is not a professional fax machine, like the one that most people use at their jobs. The print quality is very good but not excellent. For occasional home use, this machine is great. If you need something that can handle big faxes and that prints at excellent quality, look elsewhere.

Strengths: Space saving. Print quality is very good. Uses plain paper. Built in phone is quite useful.

Weakness: None so far.

I purchased this since I needed a fax machine, but wasn't ready to spent more than $100 on a full featured machine. It is good for small volume jobs. I don't really fax that often -- it is a great machine to have when I do need to sent a fax occasionally.

I've been using this fax machine for a while and so far I am very happy. It's very small and does a good job at faxing. The print quality is very good but not excellent. This is good for occasional home use, this machine is great.

Strengths: Multifunction and very convenient for personal use.

Weakness: The plastic material makes it look cheasy.

The machine is good as a fax machine and a home phone. I would recommend people who prefer multifunction, small size and low price. I'm afraid it will be broken easily, though. But it is worthy for the price.

Great Fax

Strengths: Perfect size and weight for home fax

This is the perfect size and weight for home office. Fits perfectly on my bookcase. Sends fax quickly. Easy to set up even with my home phone and answering machine. highly reccommended product.

FAX-575 PERSONAL PLAIN PAPER FAX,PHONE&COPIER

Strengths: Strengths Reasonable print quality. Reasonably priced replacement ribbon cartridges. Good price.

Weakness: Has some problems printing fine detail. If copying abnormally sized items, such as receipts, etc, 1 roller output can cause jams.

FAX-575 Plain Paper Fax

Strengths: SMALL SIZE,STYLISH DESIGN

Weakness: POOR SOUND QUALITY

While faxing and receiving, the FAX-575 Plain Paper Fax works well but somewhat slow. In addition, when I am on the phone, there is noise in the receiver and the sound quality is poor.

I got what I wanted for my personal needs. Works great and small doen't require a lot of space. Arrived on time and in very good condition. Great job seller.

Have used it fa few time and seems to work perfectly. I would recommmend to anyone who needs a cheap fax machine only. I do not intend to use this as my main copier.
