Strengths: Has all essential features needed for BA level college courses. As with all TI calculators with this style, its easy to use and very comfortable.

Weakness: Only battery powered. Cool looking professional version won't be out until the end of the year...

I'm looking forward to working with this calculator. I think it has more to offer then the HP-10B. You can find this calculator at any major store included your local wal-mart. The price is reasonable compared to the traditional cost of a financial calculator. I'm very fond of TI's calculator layouts. Easy to use, nice big buttons and well organized. The BA II Plus comes with a complete instruction manual that is easy to read and good for quick look ups.

Strengths: Speed, ease of use.

Weakness: product can be redisigned for more financial calculator looks.

This is a value for money product. Other more expensive products available in the market are not as fast. It is more handy then laptop and as easy to use as an excelsheet. It may not fit in a shirt pocket but is surely fits into a professional portfolio. Manual provided is informative, though one can do with more examples. I suggest Texas should have a web site dedicated to users of BA-II. I recommend this product to all kind of users, aspiring CFA's. Even MBA's specialising in finance. It is a good gift for a person aspiring to make his/ her place in worl of finance.

Strengths: many financial functions, cool design, easy to use

Weakness: battery powered

i am a math major in college, and this thing is amazing. i can do a lot of the work that i do by hand by just pushing a few buttons. i would definately recommed to finance majors. it saves a lot of time, when you are doing a lot of work. the only bad thing is that i use it a lot, and since it is battery powered and not solar powered, i will probably have to change the battery often.

Strengths: Shipped quickly.

Weakness: Send me diffrent model than was on thier website picture. No manual. No warranty.

I received it within a week. It is working but model is diffrent may be old i guess than my sister bought new from Walmart. Price is $ 10 less but it is old/refubished and have no manual. There is no warranty paper also. Got may be good price but not quality of product.

Good shipping service. Ordered on Friday and Received on Wednesday. However, model is not pertaining to what was shown on the web. Original box and User's Manual does not come with the Shipment. How am I suppose to use the calculator without a manual? Seller should have informed buyers of the inavailability of original box and user's manual. The Unit is not REFURBISHED but rather USED, 2ND HAND UNIT. Conclusion is that the deal contain some element of cheating.

Low price, but high powered

Strengths: Performs all business and statistical functions. Included manual is very clear with examples and the formulas used to perform the calculations.

Weakness: Doesn't make coffee, answer the phone, or take dictation.

I recently became involved with real estate investing and wanted to have the ability to do the math while "on the run" without having to carry my laptop which has a program that performs business and scientific calculations. This is considerably more calculator that I am mathematician, and not particularly intuitive for advanced calculations unless you're familiar with business/scientific calculators.
Fortunately, the manual is very well laid out and thorough and after going through it and studying the examples I found it to be very user friendly and convenient to use. It's about twice the size of a Blackberry or an iPhone, but it's very light weight and will fit in a shirt pocket. It comes with a slide-on cover with an abbreviated cheat sheet inside that protects the keys and display when not in use. All in all, I think it's perfect for the purpose and considering that it was under $30 with shipping, I couldn't be happier.

I bought this for my accounting class and found it is very useful. We even brought it with us to some car dealers and get payments answers faster than them.
