Audiovox FMPRO FM-50 Indoor/Outdoor Dual-Drive...Strengths: Strong FM signal pickup. Better than any indoor antenna I ever purchased. Weakness: Somewhat large, hard to hide out of view. We've lived in a townhouse for 15 years and have been unable to pick up any FM channels on our stereo. With the FM Pro we are now able to get about 30 FM stations that are crystal clear. We live about 90 miles outside of New York City and are able to get many city FM stations. I would recommend this product to anyone who is having difficulty receiving FM channels..... 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Partial Satisfaction With Antenna Assy.Strengths: Nice looking antenna Weakness: Doesn't amplify weak signals; adds static, introduces cross-talk On weak FM stations, turning the power injector on (for amplification) causes a significient increase in static with no increase in the signal. Sent (at my cost of $15) enitre antenna assy. back to Audiovox for repair. Repaired antenna now introduces cross-talk and some static on my favorite weak station (95.1) with no increase in signal strength. I physically removed the power injector and use antenna with its amplifier off with partial satisfaction. I would not recommend this antenna as it does not fullfill its purpose of amplifying weak FM stations in Los Angeles area. Audiovox did not respond to my request for a partial refund. 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Audiovox FMPRO FM-50 Indoor/Outdoor Dual-Drive...
Strengths: Does increase FM signals.
Weakness: Amplified feature did not work well with my antenna location.
The Terk FM-50 Pro Indoor/Outdoor Amplified Long-Range FM Antenna is quite large and does indeed amplify FM signals. I have it connected to a Yamaha RX-V2400 Receiver and mounted outside on a chimney. I initially had problems with the amplification module which comes with it and had to return it. The replacement module worked but created interference when connected. I called the Terk customer service and they said the amplification feature is not always the optimal solution depending on where the antenna is mounted. I now have the FM-50 connected without the amplification feature and it does provide increased FM reception.
