But ease of changing implies frequency, and having to order an expensive unit for home delivery jacks up the price...recommended change interval every six months! That makes for expensive ice cubes! expensive waterStrengths: easy to change Weakness: price does a great job but is costly. I let mine run for 1 year not the 6 months as suggested. Frigidaire Puresource2 Water FilterStrengths: Easy replacement for anyone. Clear, great tasting water and ice again in minutes. Weakness: Some difficulty pulling old filter out initially. Not much surface area to pull on. This is the second time I have replaced the Puresource2 filter on my Frigidaire refrigerator. Initially, I could not pull out the old filter while simultaneuously pushing the filter button. The solution was a slight rap (pushing in on the filter) with the side of my hand. The filter pulled free easily after that. After flushing water through for a few minutes, the air was purged out and I was back to clean, faster flowing water again. 67% of readers found this review helpful. New clean waterStrengths: Easy and quick to install, reminder stick to tell you when to change the filter again. Weakness: None When the filter light changed I knew it was time to get a new filter. My water is consistently dispensed with no unusual taste or odor. The price is higher than I would like, but with my low use it is not a problem. wf2cb frigidaire puresource2 water filterStrengths: easy to replace Weakness: price is expensive This is really an easy refrigerator filter to replace. Basically you push the tab on the refrigerator - next to the filer and out pops the old filter. the water tastes really good and the ice cubes are free of any chlorine smell. the only setback to this filter is its price - it tends to be on the high side. But I would think the price is comparable to other filters. It's easy to find a retailer that carries the filter - basically any home improvement store will stock it. Frigidaire PureSource2 Water FilterStrengths: Top quality filter that is super easy to install. Weakness: A little pricey for a filter only rated for 6 months of services I love that this filter does a great job of producing clean great tasting water and that Frigidaire has made installing this filter as simple as pushing a button. The cheapest I could find this filter was $31.00 if you are willing to buy a pack of 3. I also found places selling one filter for over $50.00. Either way, I think that price is the only drawback on this filter and that's why I rate it only 4 stars.....but then again who buys a refrigerator based on the water filter. I have replaced it several times now on my Frigidaire refrigerator, and it is very easy to replace. A Great Water Filter
Strengths: Great tasting waster. Very easy to install,
Weakness: Wished the filter would last longer before needing to replace. Somewhat expensive.
I purchased a new Frigidaire refrigerator about four years ago when I moved into my newly built home. I have been very pleased with the appliance and the filtered water.
