After the installation of the majority of flooring, cracks and top layer began to delaminate. Independent certified hardwood flooring inspector has indicated that these issues are manufacturing issues, but Build Direct has only offered to sell me DIFFERENT wood at a discounted price and blames installer even though their own ispector makes no conclusions regarding reason for problems. Build Direct is based in Canada making them hard to sue, and the product is made in China. After spending tens of thousands of dollars, now I am stuck with a floor with many delaminations, many many cracks, and no willingness of the manufacturer to do anything but sell me DIFFERENT wood at a discounted price. I've contacted BuildDirect and am sending them photographs of the problem, which are available to anyone who'd like to see them. My attorney suggested the NC State Attorney's office.
